The squeaky-clean teen stars of a hit 1970s variety show are caught in a blackmail sex scandal, threatening to expose the on-screen siblings off-screen love affair.

SYNOPSIS

On the eve of the release of his lurid tell-all autobiography, former teen heartthrob Danny Cameron recounts his childhood growing up as a member of The Cameron Family Band, a popular televised variety show. Masquerading to the public as a real family, Danny and his co-stars struggle to navigate a backstage lifestyle that starkly contrasts the family's bubble-gum image on-screen - rife with drugs, sex, and a secret affair with the actress who plays his sister, Mandy.

When a blackmailer threatens to expose Danny and Mandy's relationship the same week as their TV Guide cover story is set to hit newstands nationwide, tensions flare and secrets are revealed, threatening to split up the family for good.

AUTHORS NOTE: Mostly inspired by the nauseating book "Growing Up Brady," a tell-all autobiography by pathetic Brady Brunch alumni Barry Williams (Greg Brady) - primarily about how he was a huge horndog for co-star Maureen McCormack for the eight years they played child siblings on television together. They even made it into a (terrible) TV movie staring Adam Brody, also about how he still thinks about trying to bang his teenage co-star - seemed ripe for a "Righteous Gemstones" style exposé of child stardom set backstage of a Partridge Family pastiche. Why did Donny and Marie Osmond have to sing so many love songs, anyway?
